Mastery System Explained

Weapon mastery in Slime Seas (Katana, Greatsword, Scythe, Berserker) determines your combat abilities, technique tree nodes, and gear stat scaling. You choose one mastery at character creation. Technique points unlock through leveling and quest completion — allocate in the mastery menu. Technique rerolls from codes (LIKES25K gives 2) reset misallocated points.

Each mastery has distinct leveling efficiency by zone: Katana fastest levels 0–65, Greatsword 65–255, Scythe mob packs 190+, Berserker end-game 255+ with gamepass. Tier rankings: mastery tier list.

Leveling Methods

Mob grinding: Crimson Ruins (30) with EXP potion — fastest early technique XP. Goblin Ruins packs (190+) for Scythe AoE parallel leveling.

Technique Priority by Mastery

Scythe: AoE radius → life steal → spin CD reduction → boss execute. Build: Scythe build.

Berserker: Rage generation → rage damage amp → execute threshold → duration. Build: Berserker build.

Use technique rerolls only after level 30 when you understand your mastery — early misallocations are cheap to fix with leveling points alone.

Common Mistakes

Spreading points evenly across all branches dilutes power — commit to one sub-tree until cap. Rerolling techniques before level 30 wastes LIKES25K's limited 2 rerolls. Ignoring stance-specific nodes while wearing wrong armor type (Thorn on Katana) yields zero bonus.
