Slime Seas Tier Lists
Community-tested Slime Seas tier lists for all nine races, four masteries, and end-game weapons ranked for PvE and PvP.
How We Rank
Slime Seas tier lists on this wiki reflect community consensus from beta launch (January 22, 2026) through July 2026 patches, cross-referenced with published Trello stats and boss clear data. Rankings weigh PvE boss farming efficiency, mob clear speed, PvP duel win rates, gear synergy, and investment cost including gamepass requirements. Balance patches — like the Slime Sword damage increase from 900 to 950 in Update 1.8 — can shift placements between updates; we note patch sensitivity on individual subpages.
We organize tier lists into three categories accessible from this hub: race tier list covering all nine races from Human (48%) to Dragonborn and Shadowborn (0.25%), mastery tier list comparing Katana, Greatsword, Scythe, and Berserker, and weapon tier list ranking boss drops from Slime Katana (1.77% from Rima) through 0.17% Shadow World exclusives.
Tier labels use S (best in slot for role), A (strong meta picks), B (viable with correct build), C (outclassed but playable), and D ( reroll or swap recommended). A B-tier race with S-tier mastery gear can outperform an S-tier race with poor technique allocation — always cross-reference our build guides and build planner.
Quick Reference Rankings
Races (PvE overall): S-tier — Dragonborn, Shadowborn. A-tier — Lunarian, Djinn, Oni. B-tier — Elf, Fishman, Skypiean. C-tier — Human. Rarity does not always equal power: Djinn (2% Fabled) excels in specific mastery pairings while Human remains the baseline for new accounts.
Masteries (general progression): S-tier — Katana (early), Greatsword (mid), Berserker (late, gamepass). A-tier — Scythe (AoE farms). Katana dominates Slime Forest through Rima; Greatsword overtakes at Sinbad (level 160); Scythe shines in Goblin Ruins mob density; Berserker peaks at Monarch Statue trio raids (level 360+, 300,000 HP).
Weapons (end-game): S-tier — Necroshade, Amethyst Avenger, Hollow Wraith Blade (0.17% Monarch drops). A-tier — Doomblade, Gilded Leviathan, Monarch's Scythe (0.51% Ogre Lord). B-tier — Thornblade (Sinbad), Slime Katana (Rima). Full drop rates and mastery pairings live on the weapon subpage.
When to Reroll vs. Commit
Race rerolls are precious even with codes like LIKES25K granting 10 at once. Commit to Human or Fishman through your first Demon Lord Rima clear (level 65) unless you roll Elf or higher during initial codes. Reroll aggressively only after reaching level 30+ Crimson Ruins when you understand mastery commitment. See how to reroll race for NPC locations and currency costs beyond code rewards.
Mastery choice is permanent without technique rerolls — free from codes but limited in supply. Pick Katana if unsure; swap investment to Greatsword gear at Sinbad's Keep without changing mastery. Berserker requires gamepass purchase; test Katana or Greatsword through Ogre Lord (level 255) before buying.
Weapon tier matters most after level 255 when 0.51% and 0.17% drop rates define end-game chase goals. Until then, craftable Iron Novice, Copper Novice, Thorn, and Steel Adventurer sets from boss materials outperform low-tier natural drops.
Patch Impact & Updates
Tier lists are living documents. Update 1.8 (April 2026) adjusted Slime Sword base damage and Corrupted Knight HP. The Celestial Event added Solarius with exclusive Radiant Dawn armor that temporarily shifted BiS gear recommendations. Spring Event increased server capacity to 14 players, indirectly buffing trio-dependent masteries like Berserker burst windows.
Monitor the events page and Trello board for balance notes. After each patch, revisit the relevant subpage — race passives, mastery stances, and weapon base stats can change without fanfare in patch notes.
